Automatically take action when an application's status changes

This guide assumes you have already activated & set up Automatic Ranking. You can configure ranking rules in advance, but to activate them, please follow the first-time integration setup.

Navigate to your centre page

On the BloxTech Dashboard, click on Go! on your centre.

Open your Application Settings

Click on Settings next to the role name you want to automate.

Update your Automatic Ranking settings

You can set up your workflow here, and press Save all changes when done.

Available actions

Join Requests

You can select the following options:

• Do Nothing: skips this action

• Accept Request: if request found, the member will be accepted into the group

• Reject Request: if request found, it will be rejected. If the member is already in the group, nothing will happen

This workflow is useful for groups with Manual Approval.

Group Action

Currently, we support one action:

• Set Rank: updates the member to the given rank ID, if they are in the group

If the Automatic Ranking integration is set up by someone else than the group owner, then the maximum rank ID is based on their actual rank.

Eligibility settings

When you set up the Automatic Ranking integration, you will unlock a new per-role eligibility setting:

Disallow applying if the applicant has not sent a join request.

If you toggle this on, candidates must send a join request before they can start writing their application. This ensures that your workflow will work as expected, and improves communication with your candidate.

If the candidate is already in the group, this check will be skipped.

This is an especially useful feature if you have the Accept Request action configured for the New applications status.
